Julie Johnson Jones, DPM graduated from Farragut High School and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a BA in Biology and German. Graduated from the former Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, with a degree in Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Completed a surgical residency program, Wyckoff Heights Hospital, Flushing Meadows Hospital, Bethpage Hospital, Jackson Heights Hospital, Deep Dale Hospital, New York City, NY. Returned to Tennessee in 1994 and opened up a private practice. Practicing in Morristown since 1994. She passed her surgical board certification and continues her Continuing Medical Education yearly and up to date.
Dr. Julie Johnson Jones has roots in Morristown, TN. Her grandmother, Imogene Landrum was a charter member of Buffalo Baptist Church. Dr. Jones is married with two sons; one is a recent UTK graduate and the other is currently attending the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
During her free time, Dr. Jones is always training for her next road race, usually half marathons but on occasion, a full marathon of 26.2 miles. She is a board member of Children’s International Summer Village, which is a 70 year old organization involved with building global friendships and peace beginning in childhood.
Dr. Julie Jones has a passion for Geriatric patients and keeping this population on their feet. She also enjoys runners and discussion of the newest and latest running shoes. She has a passion for diabetic patients and education to help prevent amputations. Her favorite office procedure are ingrown nails because these patients come in with pain and leave without any pain.
