Dr. Julie Jones
Podiatrist
Dr. Julie Johnson Jones has deep roots in Morristown, TN, where her family has long been part of the community. Her grandmother, Imogene Landrum, was a charter member of Buffalo Baptist Church. Dr. Jones is married and has two sons—one a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and the other currently attending UTK.
In her free time, Dr. Jones trains for road races, with a special focus on half marathons, and occasionally takes on the challenge of a full marathon. She also serves as a board member for Children’s International Summer Village, an organization with a 70-year legacy of fostering global friendships and peace through childhood connections.

Dr. Jones is passionate about geriatric care, dedicating her efforts to keeping older adults active and mobile. She has a strong connection with runners, enjoying conversations about the latest advancements in running shoes. Her dedication extends to diabetic patients, focusing on education and care to prevent complications, including amputations. One of her favorite office procedures is treating ingrown nails, as it allows her to provide immediate relief to patients in pain.

Residency Program
Dr. Julie Jones completed an extensive surgical residency program in New York City, gaining invaluable experience at Wyckoff Heights Hospital, Flushing Meadows Hospital, Bethpage Hospital, Jackson Heights Hospital, and Deep Dale Hospital. This rigorous training provided her with advanced surgical skills and a strong foundation in podiatric medicine. In 1994, Dr. Jones returned to Tennessee to serve her community with the expertise and care honed during her time in New York.

Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine
Dr. Julie Jones earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, Illinois, a prestigious institution renowned for its excellence in podiatric education, research, and clinical training. While at Scholl, Dr. Jones was awarded a scholarship for her academic achievements and received the IPMSA Merit Award for Service from 1988 to 1991. She was an active leader in the academic community, serving as Academic Vice President of Phi Alpha Pi Professional Fraternity from 1990 to 1991, Chairwoman of the Hospitality Committee and Secretary of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Students Association during the 1990-1991 academic year. Additionally, she worked as a librarian to support her education, demonstrating her dedication and commitment to her studies and future career in podiatric medicine.

Practicing in Morristown since 1994. She passed her surgical board certification and continues her Continuing Medical Education yearly and up to date.

Dr. Julie Jones earned dual degrees in German and Biology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she balanced her academic pursuits with full-time work at Winn-Dixie Supermarket to support her education. A proud UT alumna and passionate Vols fan, Dr. Jones’s strong work ethic and determination were key to her success, demonstrating her commitment to both her education and her future career.
